With the 2nd largest smoking capacity in the St. Louis region, BEAST Craft BBQ Co. specializes in hand-crafted, carefully sourced pit-smoked meats paired with local hickory, white oak & cherry woods. We procure as much as we can locally, though we do not compromise quality for locality.

We now feature COMPART FARMS to bring you the very best pork dishes you can buy in a smokehouse anywhere in the country.

BEAST features a unique sides menu headlined by Candied Bacon, Pit Beans & Brussels Sprouts w/Pork Belly. 

We also offer the largest selection of craft beers in any restaurant on the Illinois side, allowing us to carefully pair with our premium meats.

We've teamed up with Excel Bottling for local fountain sodas, and are the exclusive Illinois restaurant to feature Kaldi's coffees & teas.

Our ever-changing menus are posted on Facebook @ facebook.com/beastcraftbbq. They are offered by walk-up service at our counter on a first-come, first-served basis, or take-out at the bar until we sell out.

WHAT IS "CRAFT BBQ"?

Pit Master David Sandusky's "hands-on" style is simplistic in nature, focused on allowing the natural beauty of well-sourced meats to shine through. His passion is to bring the backyard to the table, and achieve massive flavor through minimalistic approaches. His art is to show what salt & pepper is really capable of. 

It's family - it's home - it's char - it's music - it's laughter, paired with great beers, of course.


I have allergen restrictions or sensitivities. can you accomm0date?

Do I have to wait in line?

If you're DINING IN, you must enter the line to order before being seated. From the register to the front door is typically about a 10-minute wait to order. The order will usually arrive at your table within 15 minutes.

We kindly ask that your entire party arrives before you enter the line.

We do not allow guests to steal tables from those in front of the line by squatting.

Our staff will find you seats after you place your order.

WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEAT GUESTS IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL BECAUSE OF CONDITION ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS.

If you're ordering or picking up TAKE-OUT, head to the bar, and the bartender will gladly help you.


Will i have a server?

We do not have a service-staff because we are a fast-casual restaurant. Staff is on hand to assist you in any way, run your food, clear your plates, bus your table & possibly refill your drinks on occasion. After ordering in line, you'll be expected to fill & refill your own drinks and grab your own utensils. 


am i supposed to tip?

While tips are accepted, they are not expected. You'll be asked if you'd like to tip on your card as you order at the cash register. You're welcome to tip the staff on your card or on the table, or not tip them at all.


WHY DON'T YOU HAVE EVERYTHING AVAILABLE ALL THE TIME?

We try to judge what business will be like daily in order to serve the very best quality. No meats are carried to the following day to be re-served in the same format. In fact, smoking fresh daily isn't enough for us, we smoke fresh per shift. Every meat is smoked at least twice a day so you'll never end up with brisket at 7pm that was pulled from the smokers at 7am. Frankly, we'd rather you be upset that your favorite meat is SOLD OUT than serve you average, old meat.

can we get it to go?

Of course! You can order by phone at 618-257-9000, or order and pick up at the bar.


can you ACCOMMODATE large parties?

We kindly ask that you enter the order line only after your entire group has arrived. We may be able to seat you together, but more than likely you'll be spread out as seats become available. Your best bet is to arrive between 2 and 4.


can i make a reservation?

We do not allow reservations, but our staff will gladly help you & your party get settled in after you've ordered. Your best bet is to arrive as early as possible.
